These photos are from last Summer Benicasim, Valencia. Its where I spent all my childhood Summers, my mum’s sister lived here and every year all the family that lived in Madrid would get on a bus a escape the stifling summer heat.

I feel so privileged to be able to come back as an adult and visit my cousins and enjoy this amazing place.

When we were there last year I took an hour for myself to take pictures and absorbed myself with textures, blurred landscapes and a Spanish romance blossoming in the distance.

Benicasim is famous for its FIB music festival, but it offers so much more. If you ever get the chance to be in Valencia I would defiantly recommend a visit.

Benicasim, Rock splashed

The splash of the waves against the rocks.

Benicasim, the blurred landscape

The blurred landscape (I wanted it to look like that although my husband’s not convinced.)

Benicasim textures

The rough texture of the rocks and the beautiful blue sea beyond.

Lovers lane, Benicasim

What the Spanish do best: Love!

Wet pebbles

Glorious wet pebbles – (Benicasim has pure sand beaches too, as well as shingle beaches – to suit every beach goer)

If I could go back again this year I would, but a certain new arrival means we’ll have to wait until next year.
